Myspace and MTV exclude Ron Paul? (It’s time to admit Paul is a top tier candidate)

Written by

Myspace and MTV have teamed up to allow ‘normal folks’ to ask the candidates questions.

From the site:  ( http://www.myspace.com/election2008 )

This election season, MySpace & MTV join forces to empower you to ask questions directly to top Presidential candidates and respond to their answers in real-time. To conclude our groundbreaking series, we’re bringing you all of the top candidates in one live event. Submit video now and tune in on Feb 2 to ask your final questions before Super Tuesday!

Go there - notice that Ron Paul isn’t on the list of invited candidates?  Doesn’t make a whole lot of sense considering that Giuliani has been invited and he hasn’t placed higher than 4th on any of the primaries and Paul has placed second in two states.

There are a few things you can do.  You can go to the Ron Paul forums and express your support for fair media time (even if you aren’t a supporter).  You can contact the advertisers you see on the pages of Myspace and MTV.  You probably won’t go that far  (don’t blame you)… but you can certainly express your opinions in the comments on Myspace.

It’s time for the Media to admit that Paul is a top tier candidate because he is.  Paul’s growing grass roots movement, fund raising, AND MOST IMPORTANTLY HIS PLACING IN THE PRIMARIES, means that he is someone to contend with.  Paul will be one of the last Republicans standing at this rate… and has a hope of going all the way if you listen to his supporters.

Ron Paul may not be what “main stream media” thinks is a viable candidate but his message is just what American’s want to hear.  We want to be great again. We want to be financially strong.  We want to take care of our neighbors (the folks across the street) before bankrupting us taking care of the world.  We want a honest President… that is steady and firm in his convictions.  We want a President that puts his country first and not corporate interests.

You know you do!

The catch here is that 1000’s and 1000’s of others are mobilizing behind the man that they say can give us all that.  That man is Ron Paul and his campaign funds, and placing in the primaries just might make that happen.

MTV changed it’s position because of all of the Paul supporters (ie young people , their viewers) contacting them.
