Ron Paul - Listen to him.

I’ve been a lifelong Democrat raised by Democrat parents. I’d always assumed that the Republicans were nothing more than elected lobby members for business in a way. As I’ve gotten older It seems that all most politicians aren’t out for my own good and aren’t willing to say or do the ‘hard’ things that made our country great.
I’ve been listening to Ron Paul in the republican debates and I have to say he is the ONLY one speaking out and that has a vision for the country that recognizes that change for the better sometimes requires sacrifice now.
It’s like dieting - you work hard and eventually you look great. If all you do is talk you stay fat, and eventually they have to remove a wall to get you to morgue!
That’s how I feel the country is headed towards. Our elected officials won’t stop saying what they think we want to hear and doing whatever is in the best interests for them (which is getting campaign contributions, and re-election).
While they do those things our GREAT Country really is in trouble… and we aren’t making the hard choices that make the future better. I don’t agree with everything Ron Paul has to say - but I do recognize the fact that most of what he says is right on. His record supports his stance, and I’m sold…
This is one Dem turning around and not voting for the bullshit politics as usual we are being offered by the Democrat party.
I would have stuck with Joe Biden had he remained in the race - but with out him in the running there just isn’t one “genuine” candidate speaking the truth or talking about (and planning to deal with) those hard choices.

If you haven’t pledged to walk your precinct for President Paul, then you are a coward. Even if you can’t vote, you can canvass and organize. Go to voters.ronpaul2008.com and take the pledge and print out a list of voters in your neighborhood.
If you are concerned about voter fraud, go to ronpaulvotecount.com
“If you haven’t pledged to walk your precinct for President Paul, then you are a coward.”
Now that’s rich. How about “If you haven’t pledged to walk your precinct for President Paul, then the terrorist win because either you’re for us or against us.”
I’ll have to agree that’s a little strong as well. Support your candidate but if you don’t volunteer it sure doesn’t mean your a coward.
Until this year, I was a one issue (gun rights) on again/off again voter. I was raised by two very liberal Democrats. My father was a fiscal conservative, but wasn’t involved in politics.
Ron Paul cured my apathy and has made me almost fanatical about politics.
